Field Experience Journal #4 The second lesson was an overview of the test the students had taken the class before. We went over the test one question at a time. Similar to the first lesson we observed Mr. Broze conduct it first and then we stepped in. We went down the rows asking the students what they had put for an answer. If they had answered it incorrectly we would go over it until we came to the right answer. If the student answered correctly we would ask the student why it was right. After this we had the students do a short quiz to see if they had retained the information from the previous chapters. We had the students correct their test by having them answer our loud. The classroom management was similar to the first lesson plan. If students started to get off track Mr. Roehlke and I would encourage them to pay attention by calling out to them and at times asking them to add input to the question. We would make connections between the quiz and the student’s life by asking them directions to places and explain what kind of direction it is (cardinal and intermediate directions). It was a review day in general. For our next lesson plan the tables will be turned and Mr. Broze will observe us and follow our lesson for the remainder of his classes. I look forward to this.
